We start with a quick consultation to make sure your space is a good fit for chickens. You can begin with a phone consultation, and all rentals require an in-home consultation for safety and setup planning.
The in-home consultation is $30 (within Albuquerque city limits), and that fee is applied toward your rental if you move forward.
From there, weβll help you choose the right setupβnumber of hens, coop size, and any add-ons like educational resources or coop cleaning support.
Your chicken experience typically lasts 6β8 weeks, and we provide everything you needβsetup, guidance, and ongoing supportβso you can enjoy the experience with confidence. ππ

π‘ Backyard Setup & Requirements
-
Hereβs a quick checklist to see if your space is chicken-ready:
β A shaded area (trees or partial shade to protect from heat)
β A spot for the coop on grass, dirt, gravel, or cement
β A space youβre okay with getting a little worn (chickens may affect grass)
β Good airflow/breezeβespecially during warmer months
β A safe, level area for the coop setupβ¨ Good to know:
Chickens love to scratch, dig, and dust batheβwe provide materials like wood chips and a dust bath to support this.
Weβll help you choose the best setup and placement during your consultation.
If youβre not sure, donβt worryβthatβs exactly what weβre here for! ππ
